Action for Post-Soviet Jewry
Kasey is a seventh grader in Westchester County, New York. She is becoming a bat mitzvah in the Spring. Kasey enjoys playing sports, especially soccer, basketball and lacrosse. She also likes reading, spending time with friends and family, and going to her sleep-away camp in the Poconos. Her favorite ice cream is cookie dough.
Kasey asked her bat mitzvah guests to donate to one of two charities—one with a Jewish focus and one secular—instead of giving her gifts. For the Jewish charity, she chose Action because it seems like a terrific organization that helps not only Jewish people, but particularly Jews who really need the help, in countries like the Ukraine, an area she knew little about before she learned about Action. She also has heard good things about the people who run Action.
Kasey would appreciate any gifts to Action in honor of her becoming a bat mitzvah.
