Yushnaya 71 Novo Vazievka, Pavlograd oblast, Ukraine February, 2000 My Dear American Friends, How wonderful it is that you, our friends, found us in the village of Novo Vasievka, where we have lived and labored for 30 or 40 years, and now you support us not only financially, but also morally. I, Yemelyanenko, for many years concealed my nationality (of being Jewish). Only now when the fresh wind starts blowing, I can freely say that I am Jewish. Thank you so much for the help you brought me. With sincere gratitude, Signed Maria |

Letter to America,
Hello to my kind and compassionate people. I, Isaak Aaronovich, all my life lived in the village of Yurievka. I worked here for more than 40 years and received a pension of 46 gr. (about $9/month) and 2nd degree invalid status. Now I don?t live - I exist because a sick person is not needed on the collective farm. They forgot all about me ? no help at all. I am very sad and bitter about that. I am suffering from Parkinson?s disease. My daughter is an invalid from birth, so my wife, who is 80 years old, is taking care of us. However, now for a year, we are receiving help from Jewish organizations, including the organization from America called Myriam's Dream. All this is brought to us by Zoya Feodorovna. With tears in our eyes, we express our great gratitude to you and bow. Let G-d give you health. Thank you so much, that through Zoya you send us joy to our home.
Signed, Isaak Aaronovich
